IDEA's Data Privacy Protection Policy
Privacy Protection
IDEA conducts our business in compliance with applicable laws on data privacy protection and data security. Protecting the security and privacy of your personal data is important to IDEA. IDEA does not install any software applications including spyware on your computer, does not sell any information under any circumstances to third parties and uses any information obtained only for the purposes of enhancing the ability to use IDEA's website or to improve IDEA's services to customers.
IDEA's Web Site collects information in two ways:
Data Collected Automatically
When you access IDEA's Web Site, IDEA automatically collects non-personal data, such as the type of Internet browser and operating system used, domain name of the Web site from which you came, number of visits, average time spent on the site, and pages viewed.
Volunteered Information
When you contact IDEA or respond to the surveys, questionnaires or applications IDEA makes available or if you e-mail IDEA, you are voluntarily releasing information to IDEA. If you answer questions IDEA has placed on the page, you are also voluntarily releasing that information to us. You may decide not to answer any questions; if you do, you may still continue your IDEA Web Site visit, but we may elect not to provide you with the related services or features. All computer-generated information, such as your e-mail address, may be used or shared with IDEA affiliates, third parties and/or transmitted to another country. An example of a third party that could receive your Personal Information is a data processing contractor that operates computer systems on our behalf. Our third-party recipients are: data processing contractors that provide computer services on our behalf, and service contractors that provide maintenance and repair services on our behalf. Whenever any data is transferred to a third party, that party will be contractually bound to abide by our privacy policy.
Children
IDEA does not solicit reports or any other information from children under 14 years of age. IDEA will not knowingly collect personal data from children without insisting that they seek prior parental consent if required by applicable law. IDEA will only use or disclose personal data about a child to the extent permitted by law, to seek parental consent pursuant to local law and regulations or to protect a child.
Your Account Access
Usernames and passwords are stored in our database for use in our reporting system. This information is kept secure on our private servers and is only used to assist you in accessing your account as a client. No information is released outside of the IDEA system.
Terms
Only IDEA and IDEA authorized entities are allowed to access information stored on our servers. Unauthorized accessing of IDEA information stored on our servers is a violation of the law. IDEA has placed security measures and firewalls on all network servers in an attempt to prevent outside parties from accessing private information. In the event of a breach of security, IDEA will press charges to the fullest extent against those parties illegally accessing information on our servers.
